Lou Ping

The weather in Kunming is running hotter day by day. There are about 65 and clear. I decided to make an excursion days see some Funming Chu Xian. Why ?………… Well, why not! They are less than 100 km and is a beautiful day for a drive.
Chu Xian is a typical small town in this region. A river runs through downtown public park area. Surrounded by high street shops with small markets outside major leaks larger stores. I found a small "coffee shop in the west" and ordered a cafe in Vienna. 20 minutes later (I the only customer), arrives at my table. He had a strange taste so I added a little sugar. When I moved into the sugar, I felt something at the bottom of the cup. Hmmm, maybe I do not know what could be. I better leave it alone. No, it feels too close to the head of a small animal to ignore. I took my coffee only to discover it was a tea bag! Could have been worse, right? Thus, coffee in Vienna is a mixture of tea and coffee. I can not say I was very impressed. The most remarkable thing I found Chu Xian is in the pagoda, which dominates the city. See Photos …
What I can say about Funming? Not much, except that made international news recently due to painted green mountains. Only 30 km from Kunming, I had to see for myself. The story goes that local business was having financial problems, asked for an expert Feng Shui for a glimpse. Apparently, it was said that when he left the rock of the mountain was at the root of evil. It disturbs the balance of nature. So this guy closed $ 62,000 U.S. dollars to get painted green mountains! At least could have tried to match greens are slightly better. Or maybe the half the cost, just do some gardening. Now it seems that while …….. a mountain false in some parks. The EPA would have a field day with this type of return United States. Residents said a new company to build.
Now, 230 km east of Kunming Lu Ping. This region grows the flower Cai Hua Liu. This flower is used to vegetable oil for cooking. Flower grown by hundreds of miles. It is an explosion of color from the carpet in the breeding area and these strange mountains Terra. This region was under the ocean millions of years are the odd mountain forms. Dragon water that falls in September in this area and very impressive to see. I spent a few days to explore and enjoy the local food. I also have shown a five-legged dog Lou Ping. Perhaps the water! I am sure that I do not like the local beer!
